Beauty by LC

It's no secret that one of my guilty pleasures is basically anything Lauren Conrad related. I grew up watching Laguna Beach and the Hills, and can't help but liking Lauren. One of her current projects is The Beauty Department, a beauty blog that she works on with her friends and glam squad. It features a ton of great tutorials so you can copy the makeup and hair looks at home. Lord knows, I need all the beauty help I can get - so I'll definitely be using these vids to learn some tricks of the trade.

Pink and Green Thursday: High Gloss #3

For today's Pink and Green Thursday with Trish, I'm all about High Gloss's third issue, the amazing LA issue. I love the chic California design. It's energetic, colorful, and would make any home feel happier to live in. The online mag is always inspiring and I encourage you to check out all of the issues here.
Love the use of pattern and color - wish I was brave enough to try something like this in my home one day.
Emily Ruddo of Armonia Decors designed this space - she's definitely a new favorite of mine after reading the issue.

More Emily Ruddo goodness. Perfect for a home by the SoCal beach.
This office would definitely make me less likely to contract senioritis next year.

Severely lusting after these pink chairs! Now bowing at the altar of Emily Ruddo.

Happy Pink and Green Thursday! Can't wait to stop by and see other posts on the hop!

Semi Wordless Wednesday: Catching Up

Happy Semi Wordless Wednesday with Flip Flops and Pearls! I've been spending a lot of time working and catching up with old friends, and I hope I'll get to see more of them in the near future! It's so great to regroup after being apart for so long and just picking up where we left off. So I thought I'd take a trip down memory lane and look at some embarrassing high school pictures of all the great times we had together. <3

Giveaway Roundup

I'm a lover of all things free, so I thought I'd share with you some lovely giveaways happening this week that I've entered and that you can enter too! Good luck, and I'll try not to be too jealous if you win instead of me.

Let the Tide Pull Your Dreams Ashore is giving away a needlepoint Smathers and Branson belt. These preppy belts are super nautical, preppy, and perfect for summer. I think they'd be a great gift for a gentleman in your life! Enter here by July 1st.

Cornflake Dreams is raffling off a great pair of earrigns from Town and Reese. You even get to pick out the pair that you want if you win, so there are tons of great options to choose from! I could really use a pair of dangling earrings (I usually stick to studs) for summer and would love the above pair called "Camryn" in coral, blue, or green - they're all so great! Be sure to enter here by July 3!

Finally, Lauren Conrad is giving away "her" makeup bag - a collection of all her cosmetic favorites. You'll win an Henri Bendel cosmetic bag, Nars blush, Chanel bronzer, liquid eyeliner, mascara, and nailpolish. I love Lauren's natural, everyday makeup, so I'd love to win all of these essentials for summer. Be sure to enter here by July 5.

And just for fun:

Girl of Summer: Olivia Palermo Continued...

Here's even more Olivia goodness to inspire you. She keeps outdoing herself all summer long.

Hats off to my friend M, for pointing out this lovely Victoria Beckham outfit.

The Coveteur: Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan

 Love them.

Today The Coveteur made me an even BIGGER fangirl by featuring one of my favorite couples bon vivant and Barney's Creative Ambassador-at-Large, Simon Doonan and the home designer extraordinaire, Jonathan Adler. Their home and belongings are just so colorful and joyous, and of course feature a ton of Adler's famous designs.

I keep finding new things to love every time I look at these photos. They're filled with amazing little details and pieces. Enjoy and I hope their quirky crib brightens your day!

PS I must warn you, this post has a TON of images, I couldn't leave any out!

Have to LOVE anything with a monogram!

Sunday Getaway: Hotel Bristol

For this Sunday Getaway, we're jetting off to Paris and the Hotel Bristol - the hotel featured in Woody Allen's charming Midnight in Paris and one of only seven recognized Parisian Palace hotels. The beautiful Bristol is a five-star luxury destination, located in the heart of Paris' fashion precint, Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré.

Hotel Bristol dates back to the 1700s when the grounds were sold by the Duke of Noailles to one of King Louis XV's entrepreneurs. At one time it was known as the Vogue Hotel owned by the Count of Castellane whom decorated it in the most luxurious decor. During World War II it served as the official residence for Americans in Paris and the staff protected and hid many of its guests who were being persecuted by Nazis.

With a storied history, the hotel is extremely alluring, beautiful, and perfect for any Americans staying in Paris even if you aren't a star in a Woody Allen movie.

Friday's Fancies: Intern Chic

Intern Chic
Today I began my summer internship and fifth internship in my college career. Interning is so motivating to me, since I can see how I'm working toward my future career and love learning new skills and overcoming new challenges. I'm so excited and motivated to be back at work - so today's Friday's Fancies with Long Distance Loving is all about looking like the chicest intern in the office.

My office is more casual, so the clothes aren't that professional (still office appropriate), but the outfit can easily be made more formal by trading in the wedges for black pumps and throwing a blazer over that swoon-worthy Isabel Marant blouse. I also work in a creative industry where hipper clothing is encouraged, so if you work in a more conservative field - I'd probably lose the stud earrings and bright clutch. For me, however, this outfit is fabulous and fitting, and I am lusting after the beautiful, intern-perfect (but not intern budget friendly) items. Happy Friday, everyone, and if you're interning this summer I wish you luck and a very productive summer!
