California Here We Come...

Thanks to SOAPnet, I've been transported back to middle school and have spent the last few days recapturing my love for The OC. The show makes me so nostalgic for middle and high school and simpler times when Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson were still a couple (work it out, you crazy kids!). Thanks to the OC, I fell in love with my first teen soap, wanted to move to Orange County, was eventually introduced to Laguna Beach and The Hills, and was able to discover awesome bands like Death Cab for Cutie, Rogue Wave, and Spoon. I'll admit it, the when I watched the Pilot and Model Home episodes over the weekend for the first time in years I def got sentimental hearing Phantom Planet's opening track and once again held out hope that Seth Cohen might exist...

You can't discuss music and The OC without some Death Cab.

Can't resist the banter and chemistry of Seth and Summer.

I never could get into the series after Marissa died.

Best moment from the pilot. And the accompanying song. Chills.

A Very Nerdy Valentine's Day

I will always be extremely nerdy, especially when it comes to pop culture, so these valentines are right up my alley. What's Valentine's Day without a little nerd humor, innuendo, and creepiness?

I'd spend my Valentine's Day with Neville in a heartbeat.

Obi-Wan knows the way to a girl's heart.
I will always crush on Han Solo.

Tom Haverford never was the smoothest.

And while this one isn't funny, it's still SO cool. The people behind The Hunger Games movie are sending these out to raise awareness from the film. A valentine from President Snow...now that's creepy.

I LoVVe You!

I haven't blogged in a really long time as last semester was easily the busiest one of my life (hello three internships and 16 credit hours), but I couldn't resist popping back in to the blogosphere to wish you all (the five of you that might still read this blog) love, love of yourself, love of your significant other, love of your friends, or love or your family, and of course happiness on this V(v)alentine's Day.

Up, Up, and Away

Nothing like some balloons to keep the mood light and airy on usually lackluster, stressful Mondays. If you're like me, it can be difficult to get into the full swing of the week and Mondays can be quite overwhelming. So it's the little things like balloons that can add a touch of lightness and fancy that can raise my mood. Childlike fun and whimsical romance never go out of style...

{Let's throw a party here, ok?}
{Wishing you all a wonderful week!}

Whimsical NYC Wedding

I love the color palette of this pretty New York wedding. The pops of the fun colors and sparkles provide touches of whimsy to the traditional elements of the wedding. Plus, how cute are the streamers and confetti?
[How gorgeous is that ceiling?]
[Ah-mazing centerpiece! Love the shades of pink and coral.]
 [I'm dying. So glamorous.]

[Love the streamers. Super fun and add so much whimsy.]
[The cake is my absolute favorite piece. So classic, yet modern and eclectic with the colors and candy accents.]

Friday's Fancies: The Cozy Side of Fall!

Friday's Fancies: The Cozy Side of Fall! Happy Friday's Fancies everyone! While I haven't had much time for blogging lately, I just couldn't resist participating with Long Distance Loving, since it's all about my favorite season - fall! This truly is a dream outfit for me. Not only is it wayyyyyyyy out of my college girl price range, but it is also wayyyyyy out of Arizona's weather range. It's still in the 100s here! (#whitegirlproblems, I know, but still.)

I'm absolutely OBSESSED with this Donna Karan cashmere poncho. I would love to cozy up to this in real fall weather and simply get lost in its warmth. It looks SO COMFORTABLE. I would definitely pair it with skinny jeggings. They look dressed up enough to wear out, but are still as comfortable as leggings! My bff Twindie swears by these Citizens jeggings - she says they very easily fool people for real skinnies, but are ten times more comfortable. Have to love those Tory riding boots and that ah-mazing Coach watch. Def adding that to the wish list.

So happy Friday's Fancies everyone! Can't wait to check out the other posts!

NYFW: Jenny Packham Picks

Such an elegant beautiful collection. So many girly, flirty dresses. Love the pastel, ethereal colors as well.

I have a feeling these will be red carpet favorites come awards season. It also really makes me want orange heels. Are you a Jenny fan?
