Fashion Friday: All Flared Out

Sorry skinny jeans, this Fall I'm going to be all about your flared cousin. If you couldn't tell, this Fashion Friday with Blonde Episodes, is all about my recent obsession with flared jeans. This cut is so much more flattering on me than a skinny pair since they make my hips like less wide and my legs look longer, and I love how they're worn either casual or if you want to get fancy (don't we all sometimes?) Celebs clearly, also, love this trend (they're copying off me, I swear), so here is some flared inspiration. Make the switch with me!
{Lauren Conrad keeps her flares feminine with a girly frock, heels, and curls. Love the look of a blouse tucked into them}
{Posh spice looks, well, posh, in a distressed pair. If you're wearing distressed and want to still look refined, I'd keep your top super sleek and simple like Vicky's}
{I love the dark wash here - very classy}
{A more California casual vibe a la Ms. Bilson}
{A light wash done grown up and right}
{This cut looks so ah-mazing with heels. Makes the legs look even longer}
{Nicole Richie styles her flares in an ultra bohemian style. Love. Oh, to pull off a headscarf}

I recently bought a super cute pair of light wash flares from the Gap's 1969 denim line. Their Long and Lean fit is my favorite. They also frequently run sales, so it's rare that you will pay full price for a pair.

Happy shopping and happy Friday! As of now, I'm probably in the great state of New Mexico inching ever closer to Arizona - let's hope my family hasn't killed each other yet!

Friday's Fancies: MAXImizing Summer

Friday's Fancies: MAXImizing Summer

I'm so EXCITED that {av} at Long Distance Loving has deemed this week's Friday's Fancies all about the maxi dress/skirt. So UH-BSESSED with this summer trend. I just bought my first maxi - and it's in a lovely cobalt shade like the one from Rag and Bone above - can't wait to wear it!

This outfit is all about being a grown up bohemian, inspired by one of my bffs Twindie,  with bright pops of color to celebrate summer (It's not over yet!). It would be such a cheery ensemble, and I love the funky jewelry.

Twindie actually just gifted me the amazing House of Harlow necklace - and I couldn't resist including it. She's also a HUGE fan of Tkees sandals and swears by their comfort. The blouse is Equipment since I've been lusting after their fabulous silk blouses. I would def wear it with my sleeves rolled up in the summer heat. The Mulberry bracelets are so beautiful and would continue the hippie chic vibe. And, last but not least, how delicious is that bag?

Happy Friday everyone! How do you wear your maxi skirt? Are you as big of a fan as I am?

Pink and Green Thursday: And I'm Off!

Farewell, friends! Today I'm off for Arizona and moving back to college for my senior year. The unknown of the real world is creeping up on me, so I plan to make the most of my last year! My family and I will be spending the next two days driving out to Arizona, so my posts will be less frequent until Monday. I'm going to miss my family and STL friends sooo much - I'm so close to them and can get so homesick. Here's to safe travels and hoping I can embrace the positive and make the most of my last year at college. Happy Pink and Green Thursday!

Semi Wordless Wednesday: Friends with Benefits

Photobucket

I absolutely loved the movie Friends with Benefits, so I had to share it with you for Semi Wordless Wednesday at Flip Flops and Pearls. It was a riot and the whole theater was crying with laughter. Just be prepared for a LOT of sexual humor. One of the best parts of the film was the great chemistry between Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake. They are so believable and hot together; you really root for them to end up together. This editorial from Elle really demonstrates that va-va-voom chemistry.

Lust List: New Apartment

I'm moving into a new apartment at school this weekend, so I'm dying to decorate it and gain experience with interior design. I love a girlier/glamorous aesthetic with a focus on black, white, and gold - of course with some pops of color. The below items are wayyyy out of my price range - but they are my ideal vibe for my new bedroom and would be perfect in any lustworthy apartment.

1. Faux Fur Pillow for a touch of bohemian via
2. Gold Kate lamp - would also love with a matte black shade via
3. Caitlin McGauley Print - currently unavailable
4. Upholstered sofa - love the geometric black and white via
4. Suede Blanc candle - smells soooo good, very woodsy and warm via
5. Style A to ZOE - Rachel Zoe's awesome book. Her styling is so inspiring and she really wants every woman to dress, so they feel amazing via
6. Lilly Pulitzer Writing Desk - so glossy and beautiful, yet SO expensive via

"Up" Engagement Shoot

This lovely engagement shoot was inspired by the ah-mazing Pixar movie, Up. These pictures are so creative and presh. Thinking of this  movie makes me tear up - you all have to see it! Haven't seen a shoot as original as this one.

So whimsical and perfect.

Tour Rachel Zoe's Nursery

Baby Skylar is certainly living in the lap of luxury. This nursery is the pique of excess and glamor. BA. NAN. AS. Can't wait for the next season of the Rachel Zoe Project.
