Sunday Getaway: Hotel Bristol

For this Sunday Getaway, we're jetting off to Paris and the Hotel Bristol - the hotel featured in Woody Allen's charming Midnight in Paris and one of only seven recognized Parisian Palace hotels. The beautiful Bristol is a five-star luxury destination, located in the heart of Paris' fashion precint, Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré.

Hotel Bristol dates back to the 1700s when the grounds were sold by the Duke of Noailles to one of King Louis XV's entrepreneurs. At one time it was known as the Vogue Hotel owned by the Count of Castellane whom decorated it in the most luxurious decor. During World War II it served as the official residence for Americans in Paris and the staff protected and hid many of its guests who were being persecuted by Nazis.

With a storied history, the hotel is extremely alluring, beautiful, and perfect for any Americans staying in Paris even if you aren't a star in a Woody Allen movie.

Pink and Green Thursday: Rose et Vert

Today's Pink and Green Thursday, hosted by the lovely Trish over at Pink Preppy Lilly Lover, I'm inspired by all things with a bit of a French flair. I've decided to start learning French, have posted a ton of French/Parisian inspired blogs, and I think seeing Midnight in Paris just might be to blame for all of this. All in all, who isn't inspired by the beautiful City of Lights? So enjoy today's ode to rose et vert, all pretty images with a dash of francophilia :)

A bit of Miss Dior Cherie:
Some macaroons and champagne:

Some Marie Antoinette decadence

Happy Pink and Green Thursday, and be sure to click the button below to link up if you blog! Au revoir!

Fashion Friday: Midnight in Paris

I'm so excited because tonight I will finally be seeing the great Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris! The trailers look amazing and the movie's been receiving excellent reviews. My friend's N and L and I are going to be super cheesy and go out for French food before the movie and see the film at a movie theater where you can purchase wine. Ive recently been very impressed by Super 8 and X Men: First Class, so I hope Midnight in Paris can continue this movie hot streak. At least I know it will provide some beautiful scenery!

So for this Fashion Friday, I'm inspired by Paris especially the film and my other favorite scripted visit to Paris - the Sex and the City finale. Au revoir! I'll let you know how the movie is!
