Sunday Getaway: Hotel Bristol

For this Sunday Getaway, we're jetting off to Paris and the Hotel Bristol - the hotel featured in Woody Allen's charming Midnight in Paris and one of only seven recognized Parisian Palace hotels. The beautiful Bristol is a five-star luxury destination, located in the heart of Paris' fashion precint, Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré.

Hotel Bristol dates back to the 1700s when the grounds were sold by the Duke of Noailles to one of King Louis XV's entrepreneurs. At one time it was known as the Vogue Hotel owned by the Count of Castellane whom decorated it in the most luxurious decor. During World War II it served as the official residence for Americans in Paris and the staff protected and hid many of its guests who were being persecuted by Nazis.

With a storied history, the hotel is extremely alluring, beautiful, and perfect for any Americans staying in Paris even if you aren't a star in a Woody Allen movie.
