Fourth of July Came Early This Year

chills. via

Wow, what a great day to be an American. As a member of the 9/11 generation, whose childhood was marked by the attacks on our country, yesterday's death of Osama bin Laden brought great feelings of justice and patriotism. I feel so honored to be an American and so happy for all of the 9/11 families and those affected by that day.

It was really interesting to see the news spread so fast through social media, namely Twitter and Facebook. Even today, people are still posting YAY AMERICA statuses and tweets and some very witty ones as well. Here's a roundup of some of my favorites to make you smile or give you a laugh:

-Doug from the hangover..check, waldo....check, carmen sandiego...check. Osama Bin Laden...check. Damn we're good.

-I have never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure." -Mark Twain

-Got a May 17th Court Date for Misdemeanor Noise Violation Charges. Shouting 'USA' off a porch at 10 PM last night and playing Bruce Springsteen

-On May 1st, 1945, Hitler was confirmed dead. On May 1st, 2011 Bin Laden was confirmed dead. Trippy.

-Osama should have never started using Four Square.

-Congrats Will & Kate. Here's a dead terrorist. Love,The United States of America. TFM.

-A prince gets married, the bad guy is dead. It's a real Disney weekend here on earth

Am I missing any other good ones?
